This set is in the middle. I would advise you, Panasonic, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba. Consult online magazine for home theater and read the pros and cons of plasma and LCD TVs. September issue presents a Panasonic plasma 42 "and to a Sony, LG, Toshiba and Vizio LCD TV. The choice is the Panasonic plasma, and any necessary adjustment out of the box and the only model that is THX certified.
